It is the mission of South Holland School District 151, in collaboration with parents, communities and businesses, to be committed to educational excellence by providing opportunities in a wholesome, nurturing environment; preparing all students to become lifelong learners and productive citizens, who can meet the challenges of society.
Upcoming Events
- Construction and renovations to Coolidge Middle School started on June 23, 2025.
- The asbestos abatement project that was scheduled from from June 23, 2025 – June 30, 2025 has been completed successfully.
- Due to the ongoing demolition and renovation on the 2nd Floor, the West Parking Lot will be closed until further notice.
- Access to all areas under construction and renovation will be restricted to authorized personnel only.
- Please stay tuned for information regarding Coolidge Middle School's groundbreaking ceremony, which will be provided once all construction and renovations have been completed.

- Construction at Taft School was scheduled from June 16, 2025 – July 25, 2025.
- The HVAC rooftop unit replacement project, which started on June 16th, has been completed successfully.
- The effort to seal coat and stripe the playground, which was scheduled from June 16th - July 25th, has been completed successfully.

Arrival & Dismissal
Arrival
- Morning supervision begins at 8:15am
- Class instruction begins at 8:30am.
- Students are not allowed to be on school grounds before 8:15am.
- Students arriving after 8:30am are considered tardy. They must report to the office for an admittance slip and then proceed to class. Teachers are not allowed to accept students who enter their classroom late without a tardy slip.
Students should be dropped on Orchid Drive before school and not the West side (new Main Entrance) of the building. However, if the student arrives after 8:30am, the parent must drop the student off at the Main Entrance.
Dismissal
Walkers and students being picked up will be dismissed through the East door. For your child’s safety, students should be picked up on Orchid Drive andnot in the parking lot.
